PICHA is an art centre in Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo). It is active in the field of visual arts and urban culture and works to create a framework for local professional artists and cultural activists.
PICHA has initiated and managed numerous projects involving local artists and facilitates exchanges with international artists. PICHA is also engaged in advocating for the status of artists and developing a cultural policy promoting arts and culture.
PICHA is also an Arterial member. The Arterial Network's vision is of a vibrant, dynamic and sustainable African creative civil society sector engaged in qualitative practice in the arts in their own right, as well as in a manner that contributes to development, to human rights and democracy, and to the eradication of poverty on the African continent.
