Liton masud ALam

Liton Masud Alam is a documentary photographer based in Dhaka, influenced by music he got interested in photography and completed a degree in photography and photojournalism from Pathshala- South Asian Institute of media academy & photography, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Liton’s prime interest is on social issues and human rights documentaries. He believes that people can get help by photography and by knowing what is happening around the world.

His photographs have been published in some local Newspapers. Sunday times U.K sand Shots magazine U.K

He won first prize in the BPS (Bangladesh photographic society) Photo contest-2005, SOTIRI international prize for young photographers – Finalist 2009, China international press photo award (CHIPP) 2009 in Daily life – Bronze, Ian parry finalist 2009, National geographic all roads Photography project nominee 2010, WINE photo award Special mention 2010, LUCEO images student project winner 2010, Photo Visura grant project Honorable mention 2010.

Artistic Group Biography: 
Asia Motion is Cambodia’s first photographers and video agency. Established in November 2008, the agency was established through a cooperation agreement between several local and international photographers, who cover current events in the entire Asian region. From very different horizons, these professional photographers and journalists have a common desire: portraying through photography the evolution of Asia. The particular flavors, the economic dynamism and the fascinating cultural and social heritage from this part of the world are, amongst others, the focal interests of Asia Motion’s photographers. The heart of Asia Motion is in Cambodia, as our team is greatly linked and touched by the past and current events in this country. At Asia Motion the photographers work on specific job orders and also sell their personal work via the website, aiming to show their images and their texts beyond Asia.
