Martanoemi Noriega (Panama)
"Most of the Panamenian population is afro or of indigenous descendent, but they would rather be white, blond and blue eyed." Martanoemi's artwork aims to show these people the beauty of multiculturalism, of being a mix of so many different cultures. In a world dominated by stereotypes, by mass media invading us with images of what we are not, it's more important now than ever for them to know themselves, know where they come from, to recover the memory of their ancestors, and to love themselves just as they are; brown skinned, tropical people.

Nicolás Ivan Sanchez Diaz (Uruguay) and Ana Olmedo (Spain) also have work on display here.
