Lakeside
Lakeside, the University of Nottingham's public arts centre and museum, provides a year round programme of diverse and exciting theatre, dance, music, comedy and exhibitions across four galleries, as well as participative activities including youth theatre and gallery art groups. Major events and festivals include Lustre Contemporary Craft Makers Market, Wheee! (International Children's Theatre and Dance Festival), and Chinese New Year Celebrations.
Lakeside comprises three buildings – the D H Lawrence Pavilion, the Djanogly Recital Hall, and the Djanogly Art Gallery. The Museum is currently located behind Trent Building, but in September 2011 will be re-housed next to the Djanogly Art Gallery.
With two excellent cafés and craft cabinets selling original works by leading craftmakers, Lakeside is the ideal place to unwind and experience the best in visual and performing arts.
